A quarreling high school couple, Marc and Carly, hit a rough patch six months into their relationship. Students dove into a variety of "sources"—from schedules and social media posts to all the juicy school gossip 🗣️💬. Their mission: write a thoughtful, evidence-based DM to either Marc or Carly with their best advice. Congratulations to Mrs. Markert for her receipt of a CCEF grant!!! Thanks to Mrs. Markert's and Mr. Garza's efforts writing this grant, students will be able to explore DNA, proteins, and cellular processes, using tools like the P51 Molecular Florescence Viewer and BioBits Labs. With activities like visualizing molecules and designing experiments, students will gain a deeper understanding of biology concepts while having fun. These labs are aligned to STAAR and AP standards, so it won't be just engaging lessons- these resources will also prepare students for success. 🧬🔍 Honors Biology: ADI Lab Argumentation Session ✨🎓 Mrs. Markert's Honors Biology students just completed Stage 5 of their ADI Lab on Meiosis—the share session! 💡 ADI (Argument-Driven Inquiry) takes learning to the next level with multiple stages over several days. Students constructed their arguments to answer a guiding question and presented their findings on giant whiteboards 🖍️.
